Ak-Sai valley

Ak-Sai, valley. Naryn Province. Wide high-altitude valley between the ranges of At-Bashi and Kokshaal-Tau. You need a special pass to visit it. The roads in the Ak-Sai valley are mostly passable by off-road vehicle. There is a settlement of ancient man of the Neolithic period.
Ak-Sai hollow is considered a cold pole of Kyrgyzstan, where on the Ak-Sai hydrometeorological station (3135 m above sea level) the lowest air temperature was registered (-53.6°), while the average temperature in January was -27.7°. The valley is overgrown with short but very dense grass, abundant in marshes and lakes.
