Aitiev Gapar Aitievich

Aitiev Gapar Aitievich (1912-1984) – one of the first Soviet Kyrgyz artists, People’s Artist of the Kirghiz SSR and the USSR. Corresponding member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He studied at the Moscow isotekhnikum (1935-1938) at the N. P. Krymov. Participant of the Great Patriotic war. Was chairman of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan. Since 1977 he led the creative workshop of painting in Frunze. Author of poetic landscapes, a number of portraits, genre canvases and monumental paintings.
