Bala-Mazar

Bala-Mazar or Tash-Mazar (bala – child, tash – stone). Kalbai village, Talas district. A holy place. There is no keeper. The mazar is a spring. It is located 3-4 km from the village, under a rock, on the left bank of the Kalba river. There are trees growing around it. It is believed that this holy place is visited by childless women wishing to give birth. Its water is used by healers for the evil eye and for small children with colds.
