Ak-Tash, a burial ground

Ak-Tash, a burial ground. It is located at the foot of Kungei Ala-Too ridge, north of Sary-Kamysh village. It consists of numerous groups of mounds. Small barrows are scattered in a disorder, large ones are stretched in a chain. Stone statues can also be found on the territory of the burial mound. Among the barrows lie boulders, many of them have pictures of animals stamped on them: goats, camels, horses, etc. The burial site was left by the Sak, Usun and ancient Turkic tribes. It was discovered in 1982 by D.F. Vinnik.
