Ak-Molo (Tashkumyr Div.)

Ak-Molo (Tashkumyr Div.). Aksy district, Jalalabad region. This holy place is located near the road between Tash Kumyr town and Tegene village. It is 7-8km from Tash Kumyr and 20km from Ak Jol village.
The holy place is a tombstone about 6-7 meters high, with a radius of 2-2.5 meters. Next to it grows a lone tree – a huge old juniper. The upper side of the stone is strewn with small white stones and sand. There is a stone hearth next to it.
Oral story: In ancient times the child of a prophet died. Then the prophet scattered white fluff between these slopes and set this white stone. After swaddling his child in a cradle, he also wrapped the cradle in white feather, and buried it next to that stone. So they say. That’s why people who don’t have children come here. And the stone has been this color ever since – white-white-white.
