Bars-bek

Bars-bek (675-711) was the ruler of the Kyrgyz state that formed on the Yenisei River. He conducted an independent foreign policy and was the head of anti-Turkic forces after the formation of the Second Turkic Kaganate. In order to protect the interests of the Yenisei Kyrgyz, Bars-beg allied with the Chinese Tang empire, the Turgesh Khaganate, and neighboring friendly tribes. He was killed in battle when attacked by a Turkic detachment.
